The Group

This is the homepage for the Visualization and Information Retrieval (VIR) Research Group at the College of Information Science and TechnologyDrexel University.  The mission of the group is to enrich the digital information environment through better human computer collaboration. The group's research areas include: Information Visualization, Information Retrieval, Knowledge Mapping, Content Management, Health Informatics and Citation Analysis. 

Demo Projects

Exploratory PubMed Search -- a simple visual interface that let users interact with search terms and search queries. It automatically converts free text searches to controlled vocabulary-based queries.

PNASLink -- Mapping of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences

   This prototype received a second place award for the INFOVIS 2004 Contest
